Sermon Notes:

1. REMEMBER (v17-19)
Remember What? REMEMBER the Word of God, the Forces against Christ and His Church, the Fruits of False Teaching
Romans 8:9; Philippians 3:3; Jude 15-16; James 4:3

2. KEEP yourselves in the Love of God (v21)
- John 15:8-11; 1 John 4:16
- Love God
- Love Others
Believers keep themselves in the love of God by doing three things: Building, Praying, Waiting
- BUILD (v20)
Note: the Christians to whom Jude is writing are facing the threat of heresy and false teaching.
with God's Word (Acts 20:32)
with God's Preacher (Romans 10:17)
with God's Church (Hebrews 10:23-25)
- PRAY (v20)
praying out of hearts and souls that are indwelt, illuminated, and filled with the Holy Spirit
- The Holy Spirit helps us pray: (Romans 8:26)
- Pray specifically; always; in all ways; alertly; and for one another. (Ephesians 6:18)
While the wicked grow yet more wicked, let us become more holy, more prayerful, and more devout, crying with Joshua, “Let others do as they will, but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
QUESTIONS:
- Are you building up your most holy faith...or "you got this"?
- Look at your calendar/your reading consumption/your intake (social media, news, otherwise)/your investments and ask yourself, "am I building...stalled...or tearing down?”
- Are you going it "alone" in your prayer time? Pull up a chair for the Holy Spirit...fix your eyes on Jesus...pray the Scripture!
